But before you bulk up you will get very lean.  So never fear that you will bulk because you are a woman working out with weights.</p>

<p>So should women take protein powder?  Yes! Women and protein go hand in hand when the woman is working out.  In fact many women would benefit from drinking protein shakes even if they aren&#8217;t working out because they lack protein. <p style="text-align: left;">When our body functions throughout the day it has to use energy.  The energy we use is actually energy that comes from the sun which plants are able to capture.  So when we eat anything that is grown, such as fruits and vegetables we get that solar energy that they have stored.  Animals that eat plants also get their energy from said plants and so when we eat them, we get that same energy that originated from the sun.  Our bodies need nutrients, of which there are 6.  Of the 6 nutrients available, 4 of them are organic.  Organic means that they contain the element carbon.  The only 2 nutrients that don&#8217;t contain carbon are water and carbohydrates.  There are 3 nutrients that provide us with energy and they are carbs, fats (also known as lipids) and proteins.  Though proteins don&#8217;t provide energy as readily as the other two because they are used to support some structures in the body.  So we are now left with the 2 remaining <a href="http://bestabworkoutroutine.com"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-32" title="Lose Weight Fast" src="http://howtoloseweightfastdiet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/LoseWeightPic.jpg" alt="Lose Weight Fast" width="135" height="101" /></a>nutrients of the body which are vitamins and minerals.  These do not provide us with any energy.  Their role is to act as regulators.  Vitamins and minerals help in all processes of the body.  Food is measured in units of heat called calories.  Fat is the most dense of the nutrients with 9 calories per gram of fat.  While carbohydrates and proteins have only 4 calories per gram.  Would it be possible to live on supplements that are full of vitamins and minerals?  No, because food provides a lot more than just nutrients.  If you eat a healthy diet there is no need to consume any extra type of supplement for your health.  This even includes fish oil.  If you eat the recommended 2 servings of fish each week you will have enough fish oil to keep you healthy.  Now taking supplements for joint pain such as glucosamine would still be okay and works great for building extra synovial fluid in the knees and other joints.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Food Choices</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Each day half of the people in the United States don&#8217;t eat any fruit or fruit juices and take away french fries as the form of vegetable people consume and half of them aren&#8217;t eating vegetables daily either.  Knowing how to combine foods into nutritous diets is a key to living a healthy life.  A healthy diet will provide adequate energy for your throughout the day.  This means that it must contain carbs because they are the most readily usable energy source in the body.  But you also need to control your calories as to not eat more calories than needed each day.  Your body needs different foods and it doesn&#8217;t ever need to be commercially detoxed.  All you need to do is eat completely different healthy foods and your body will get rid of the toxins and contaminants that have built up from eating the same foods everyday.  Don&#8217;t be fooled by products that market themselves with catchy names or use organic in their packaging.  Many people feel overwhelmed with what to eat and what not to eat so they seek a professional in the field.  Beware of people calling themselves experts when they really aren&#8217;t.  Lets look at a nutrionist vs. a dietitian.  A registered dietitian is someone that has been trained in the food science field whereas a nutritionist can just be a sef-described expert with no formal schooling or education.</p>
